Obsessed with wood curls and music.  Studied with Eric Miller, a master luthier, when I was 19 and have been pursuing the craft ever since.  Have done restoration and repair full time, but building unique instruments one by one, and watching them come alive is more rewarding. 

Twenty years experience working inside acoustic guitars of every make and age has revealed many secrets of design and engineering, good and bad.  Taking on hopless cases has been instructive in improvisational problem solving.  Designing a new instrument brings to bear all that I have learned since I began, and obsesssive attention to detail.
